For the summer and fall of 2023, I had the opportunity to be the graphic design intern at Austin PBS, and recently was hired on part-time! Working here, I get to work on a ton of different projects that includes lots of different design work, from social media graphics to billboards to screen-printed posters and sweatshirts. Not only am I still learning a tremendous amount about design, but also about how the inside of a big-name company like Austin PBS functions and grows.
AUSTIN CITY LIMITS SEASON 50
This year commemorates the 50th season of Austin City Limits. I have had the honor to work on the branding and campaign for this huge milestone. The season has only just started but I am ecstatic for what this taping season has to offer.

AUSTIN CITY LIMITS SEASON 49
A lot of the work I do at PBS is for Austin City Limits, the longest-running music program in television history. Behind the scenes, I got to design the programs for 17 of the 19 shows in season 49, as well as create the digital live stream and episode streaming graphics.
Friends of Austin City Limits Season 49 Poster

Every season, a foldable poster is made to give out to the people who donate to Austin PBS as a Friend of ACL. This poster features all of the artists that performed on season 49, including Lil Yachty, Noah Kahan, MUNA, and Foo Fighters.
Before season 48, these posters showcased a basic collection of photos from the season, but in this past year we switch to designing something more fun and representative of the tapings. I designed this poster, and 650 copies were printed and sent out to donors.

taco mafia
I lucked out during my internship at Austin PBS because they were creating a new TV show! The program, Taco Mafia, was filmed at local taquerias in Austin as well as the studio at the Austin PBS office. I got to be a part of branding and promoting the show, from creating billboards to social graphics. My big part was on the billboards, 9 of them around Austin that stood for 6 weeks.
AUSTIN CITY LIMITS HALL OF FAME
In October 2023, Austin PBS put on the 9th annual Austin City Limits Hall of Fame, honoring musicians Trisha Yearwood and John Prine. This is a huge formal gala that is put on at The Moody Theater and filmed for TV. I got to work on most of the signage and digital graphics for the event. I also had the pleasure of creating the custom poster for the show. 200 copies of the poster were screen-printed and sold out at the event. I loved creating it and am blessed to have an original piece like this in my portfolio.
AUSTIN PBS
Other than ACL, I also got to work on a lot of general Austin PBS materials. I created a lot of different things during my internship, including a sweatshirt, intern certificates, social graphics, newsletter/website banners, and more. Doing this I learned a lot about branding a non-profit organization, and how to maintain cohesion across the different mediums.
